Foundation Knowledge Courses

Survey of Exercise and Nutrition Science (EXNS 190), Foundations of Exercise Science (EXNS 210), Motor Development (EXNS 211), Anatomy and Physiology I (BIO 201), Anatomy and Physiology II (BIO 202), Introduction to Nutrition (FCS 281), First Aid and Prevention (EXNS 300), Sports Nutrition (EXNS 310), Counseling and Wellness (EXNS 487) are the knowledge-based foundation courses for all of the concentrations in Exercise and Nutrition Science. Mastery of content from these courses prepares students for upper level coursework in focusing on the Allied Health, Strength and Conditioning, and Health Promotion fields.

 

Advanced Course Work

Physiology of Exercise (EXNS 380), Biomechanics (EXNS 381), Strength and Conditioning (EXNS 496), Health-Fitness Program Design (EXNS 499), Exercise Testing and Evaluation (EXNS 398), Advanced Performance Test and Evaluation (EXNS 488), Clinical Testing and Interpretation (EXNS 492), Pharmacology in Exercise Science (EXNS 497), Sport/Fitness Management (EXNS 498), Seminar in Exercise Science (EXNS 486), Health Promotion Internship (EXNS 490) is the advanced course sequence that is specific to students pursuing the Strength and Conditioning Concentration.
